Ayodhya used to be the capital of the ancient Kosala Kingdom. It has an average elevation of 93 meters (305 feet). Owing to the belief as the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram, Ayodhya (Awadhpuri) has been regarded as first one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Mokshdayini Sapt Puris) for Hindus.
Chitrakoot means the 'Hill of many wonders'. Chitrakoot falls in the northern Vindhya range of mountains spread over the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The distance between the 2 places is 135 kilometres which will be taking around 2.5 hours to reach. On the way you will be able to visit the Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas temple, Sanakt Mochan temple and the Bharat Mata temple. On reaching Allahabad, check into the hotel. Visit the Hanuman Temple, Patalpuri temple etc. and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Durga Temple:
Durga Temple, nestled in the vibrant city of Varanasi, is a unique Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga built in the 18th century. Renowned for its vivid red colour and intricate architecture, the temple exudes a spiritual aura. Devotees visit to seek blessings, especially during the festive fervour of Navaratri, when the temple comes alive with religious celebrations. It houses an imposing idol of Goddess Durga and is one of the main temples in Varanasi.
Tulsi Manas temple:
Constructed in 1964, this temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and is named after the saint poet Tulsi Das. It displays the Shikhara style of architecture and exhibits various inscriptions from the Ram Charit Manas on the walls of the temple. Various episodes of Ramayana have also been depicted on the upper storey of the temple in the form of carvings. The temple is a must visit during the months of Saawan (July - August) when it opens up a special display of puppets, related to Ramayana, and is a fun experience for everyone.
Sanakt Mochan temple:
The Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is situated by the River Assi and was built in the 1900s by the freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. It is dedicated to Lord Rama and Hanuman. Varanasi is always related to Sankat Mochan Temple and is an essential part of this holy city. Every person visiting Varanasi visits this temple and pay their respects to Hanuman.
Bharat Mata temple:
Bharat Mata Mandir is a unique shrine dedicated to our country, Mother India. The temple does not have any deity, but a relief map of the country carved in marble. The temple was the brainchild of Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta, a freedom fighter. It was built in 1936 and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi and has ever since been the only one dedicated to a country in the World.
On your day 3 you will be traveling to Chitrakoot. The distance between the 2 places is 130 kilometres which will be taking a maximum of 3 hours to reach. It is a very famous place which is known for Lord Rama, sita and Lakshmana. You will be able to visit some famous places like the Bharat Milan, Hanuman dhara etc. Finally after visiting all the places you will be returning to Allahabad to spend the night in the hotel.
Chitrakoot:
Chitrakoot, a small town situated in the north Vindhyan range, is located over the districts of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh and Satna in Madhya Pradesh. It holds great importance according to Hindu mythology and the epic Ramayana. Legends have it that Chitrakoot was the place where Lord Rama, his wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana stayed for eleven and half of their fourteen years of exile making it a reverred site among pilgrims.
According to Ramayana, Chitrakoot was the place where Bharata, brother of Ram came to visit Ram and ask him to come back to Ayodhya and rule the kingdom. It is also believed that the principal gods of Hindus, (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva) took incarnations here. This divine city is also known as the 'Hill of many wonders' and it totally justifies the name. Chitrakoot mountain range has numerous places of great religious importance like Bharat Milap Temple, Hanuman Dhara, Janki Kund and much more. It is indeed the gift of nature and the gods.
Chitrakoot is also the place where Goswami Tulsidas, author of 'The Ramcharitmanas', spent many years of his life. There are many lively fairs which are organized on different occasions and festivals. Not many know that Chitrakoot is also home to the only university in the world specially made for the differently-abled, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University.

Most of Old Lucknow is well-known for its bustling vibrant streets, authentic, mouth-watering kebab and biriyani outlets, lakhnavi chikan market, and the wholesale jewellery stores.
After a good sleep, wake up in the morning and have your breakfast and then you will be headed towards Varanasi. The journey will be about 7 hours as you will be covering nearly 320 kms. You will reach Varanasi by evening. Check in the hotel and spend the night in the hotel.
Varanasi:

One of the city's most iconic features are the 80 ghats along the Ganges, where daily life unfolds against the backdrop of rituals, ceremonies, and spiritual practices. Dashashwamedh Ghat, the main ghat, witnesses the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a captivating ritual where priests offer prayers to the river with the rhythmic movement of lamps, fire, and chants. The boat ride along the Ganges during sunrise or sunset provides a serene and immersive experience, allowing visitors to witness the city's timeless beauty.
After having your breakfast, check out from the hotel because you will be headed towards Bodhgaya. it is the famous Buddhist plates bear it’s gotten better attained Supreme enlightenment. Bodhgaya:
Bodh Gaya is a village in the state of Bihar which is the place of Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment. It is the most esteemed destination between all sacred Buddhist sites. The famous Mahabodhi Temple is the main attraction here. Also, the offspring of the Bodhi Tree under which Lord Buddha gained enlightenment. Many monasteries/temples from Thailand, Tibet & Japan are also constructed here.
Famous attractions of Bodh Gaya are the Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Ratnachakrama, Lotus Pond & Ajapala Nigrodh Pillar. However, the list doesn’t end here. There are many other spots where tourists can spend a great time knowing about Lord Buddha in detail.
Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast and then check out from the hotel as you will be witnessing some of the most beautiful places in Bodhgaya. Visit the great Buddha statue, Niranjana River and the Sujata temple. After that you will be heading towards some other places like the Maha Bodhi Temple and the Bodhi tree. Enjoy your visit to the Chinese Temple and explore the Chinese culture and then head on to the school of destitute. Finally after the tour gets over, head back to Varanasi hotel for the night.
Buddha statue:
This statue of Lord Buddha is the tallest in India and was instated by the XIV Dalai Lama in 1989. It is a meditating Buddha resting on a giant lotus, constructed using intricately carved sandstone and red granite.
Sujata temple:
Sujatha Temple is dedicated to a humble tribal woman named Sujatha who offered pudding to Gautam Buddha. It is said that the pudding was the first meal Gautam Buddha had consumed after years of starvation ever since he renounced the materialistic life including food to attain enlightenment. The temple is considered to be religiously important as the offering is believed to have saved Lord Buddhaês life.
Maha Bodhi Temple:
The Mahabodhi temple, also called the "Great Awakening Temple", is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Bodhgaya, Bihar. It is a Buddhist temple that marks the location where the Lord Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Lord Buddha holds a very significant place in the religious history of India as he is believed to be the 9th and the most recent incarnation of Lord Vishnu to have walked the earth. The temple spreads over an area of a whopping 4.8 hectares and is 55 meters tall.
Bodhi tree:
The Bodhi Tree, located 100 kilometres to the south of Patna in the north Indian state of Bihar, is perhaps the most prominent and respected sacred places in Buddhism because of the rich historical significance attached to it. It is under this tree that Prince Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher who later became to be known as the Buddha, attained enlightenment. It is believed that Prince Siddhartha had to sit and meditate under this tree for seven days. Later on, a shrine known as Animisalocana Cetiya was erected on the spot where he had sat down. A small temple was also built near the Bodhi tree in the 7th century.
